MWL Champs!

PeeWee 2010
Midwest League Champions!!!!!
Dave's hockey team won the Midwest League Championship this past weekend. This was really special because many kids on this team have never won a MWL championship - Dave on the other hand just brought home his fourth trophy in a row! I'm sure you all know this, but he's really an amazing coach! Way to go Bucs!!!!

Swimming Lessons

Arabella is finally able to take preschool swimming lessons! Bella and Mommy were both tired of the SIX Mommy and Me Waterbabies classes that we've taken together. She was ready to move on to the next step. So here she is before her second swimming lesson. She is so excited to go to swimming lessons, she talks about them all day at Miss Georgia's! Her one complaint about swimming lessons was that they haven't jumped in yet. Hopefully they will next week. Perhaps next week I'll have some video of her swimming lessons.

Dinosaur Fossils and Shoveling

Dave was gone for hockey on Saturday, so Arabella and I had a girl's day... complete with some fun snow time! We hunted for dinosaur fossils all over the yard, and finally found one (see picture below)! Then Arabella helped me shovel the driveway. Later we went swimming and had a fun time at Mommy's favorite store (Target). A great girl's day!

"Look mom! It's a dinosaur fossil!"

"We need a smaller shovel for me, Mom."

Learning to Write

Lately Arabella is very excited to learn how to write. She saw this pencil in my car and asked if it was a present for her. :) So I gave it to her... and this is the only activity she wants to do. Her favorite is tracing letters. So I wrote her name with dots today and she traced it. She was so proud of herself!
She woke up with the flu last night at 2 in the morning, and while she continues to be sick today, she insisted that she's feeling well enough to write her letters. So we did lots of writing today... I'm going to need to get another notebook for her! :)

Tracing Mom's dot-letters
"I did it! Look Mom!!!!"
Finished product. Pretty good job eh?!
