Tea Party!!!!!!

Ever since Christmas when Miss Georgia (Bella's daycare provider) gave her a Fancy Nancy book, we have been having tea party after tea party getting fancy everytime (hats, bracelets, skirts, mommy's shoes, etc.) Sandy has many tiny chairs and Arabella made her tea party set up yet again. Sandy knew about Arabella's love for getting fancy, so she had dress up clothes and jewelry readily available for her to play with. She also made us a reservation at a fancy tea room in Wichita for a real tea party!

This picture is not very good because it was taken with my camera phone, but she was dressed up in Sandy's dress up clothes and jewelry ready to have a tea party! Check out the high heels! :)

Arabella set up this tea party with her stuffed animals and little cupcake holders for her dishes at Sandy and Bill's house.

We are so fancy, I'm sure it's hard for you to recognize us, but Sandy had so many fun hats and jewelry to choose from! The tea room was beautiful and they thought it was so cute that we were all dressed up so fancy!

Here's Sandy looking fancy too!

Grandma fits the part so nicely - she loved the gloves!

Lovely ladies having a tea party!

3 Generations of Fancy Ladies having tea!

Since it was a special occasion, Arabella got to have her own pie - of course she picked chocolate pie! Aren't those gloves adorable? She was so excited to get so fancy! She told us that her bib wasn't fancy so it needed a fancy name. She called it an "English Pib." She's so creative! :) What a fun afternoon! When asked what her favorite part of the tea party was, she said, "Getting fancy. It was lovely."

Exploration Place

We went to Exploration Place in Wichita... So fun! I hope everyone who goes to Wichita goes here because it is amazing! Here are a bunch of pictures and a couple videos of our favorite things at Exploration Place!

They had a cool castle where you could dress up as someone who lived in this time period... then you could explore the castle (which was totally cool!) Bella dressed up as a knight. This is her making her "dragon fighting" face!

This was a really cool light wall... anywhere you touched it, it would light up. Bella enjoyed this one for quite a while!

Arabella being a Kansas Sunflower (apparently this is the state flower)

Making music with Grandma - they had a TON of different exhibits where kids could make their own music! These were Grandma's favorites!

This is a Mesosaurus... a dinosaur fossil! Bella's favorite part was touching this fossil! She's very excited to show these pictures to her friend Owen (who shares her love of Dinosaurs)!

Using the bellows to create fire - the picture didn't capture it, but it really does make "fire" in the oven!

Grandma and Bella standing in the tornado maker... right next to this exhibit was a tornado simulator that you step in and it has winds at 79 mph which is the same as an F1 tornado. I didn't get a video of that, but it was really cool!

Bella loved seeing the live animals at Exploration Place. This one was some kind of bullfrog. I said, "hi bullfrog." Bella informed me that, "bullfrogs do not say hi. They say ribbit." So here's the video I got of her "talking" to the frog.

Bella got bangs!

For weeks now, Arabella has been pushing her hair out of her face and eyes. I was in denial and really didn't want to cut her hair, but Dave and many others reminded me that she's a kid and needs her hair to not be in her face. So when we were in Wichita visiting Sandy (who happens to be a beautician), we decided to trim her hair and give her bangs. We "played beauty parlor" to get her to sit still. She even got to choose her own comb that matched her cape (of course). She sat so still for it and Sandy did a great job! Now she looks so adorable (and so grown-up)!

Before bangs!

Finished product! Doesn't she look so old and adorable?!

Arabella's First Swimming Lessons

We signed Arabella up for her very first real (without Mommy) swimming lessons at the Y. She loved them so much and had a hard time waiting for a whole week for the next lesson. Here's a quick video of her jumping in from her last lesson. She starts the next session of swimming lessons this coming Tuesday.
